It's Official***Creative Team Member for *Scrap That Song*

Whoop! Whoop!!
I am  a Creative Team Member at a new challenge site
http://www.scrapthatsong.blogspot.com/

Take a look, I mean how often do we refer to songs and lyrics when we scrap....I know I do all the time.
A song can transfer you in seconds, back in time, songs that you recall your parents singing, on your wedding day...while pregnant....they make us cry, make us smile.....
 When I applied for this position it truly made me think about all the amazing songs out there, the list is endless.
 The Beatles-Elvis-Michael Jackson-Pink-Greenday-Lady Gaga-Madonna-Elton-Queen the list goes on and on....( I could be here forever)???
With Scrap That Song you do get more than just one song/lyrics to choose from, so pop on over and have a look at what songs/lyrics are on our monthly menu.

I'am looking forward to working with the CT....like you wouldn't believe...I actually live close to two of these lovely ladies..Mary and Annette, their talent and skills in scrapbooking are awesome, they are very inspiring as you shall all come to know.

I'll be back in a couple of days to let you know about the August, Scrap That Song challenge and I do hope you get the chance to play along with us..

Scrap the Boys- July Challenge

Thought this week I would do the monthly challenge over at Scrap the Boys....since I have 5 to choose from, might as well.

{First a close-up}
 The criteria this month is to use decorative tape and to use PLAY in the title and this what I came up with

{ Winter PLAy time}

I used Tim Holtz tissue tape, some collections tissue paper from CRAFTQUEEN, lots of glimmermist and I used texture paste and a crafters workshop template for the background....with some inking and lots of machine stitching which I love atm.

Thanks for stopping bye
please leave a little love, so I know who's stopped over

Have a great day
Cheers

One plus another sneak...

Hello Scrappy pals,
                              thought i would share a recent layout I created using
some fab charms/buttons and trim from Craftqueen and some products from Scrapmatts.
The photo were taken on my iPhone while on a trip to Bathurst during the recent school holidays. We stopped at the new Adventure Playground which the kids loved....great activities...great slide, maze, mini climbing walls, flying fox (x2), musical bridge, and that's about all I can remember for now. It was very awesome and the kids loved it.. very recommended if your in Bathurst with kiddies.
(I Love How)
They are very close at the moment and i needed to capture this time ...things change quickly between brothers and sisters....sigh!

Charms/Ribbon/Buttons + Gesso +Glimmermist =Fun

So a couple of months ago I went over for a scrap session at Miss A's. Mary and Annette had been to a class with the fab Nat Kalbach and they had worked on a canvas using gesso/charms and a few other TA products, they showed me the results of a class and it looked very awesome. Got me thinking about using gesso/texture paste on my layouts. Finally put my thoughts onto paper...hehehe!
 Used some awesome products from CRAFTQUEEN (the charms, ribbon,buttons), also used some glimmermist and some scrapmatts gears..as i love these atm, and this is what i camne up with....

                                                                    {Always Have Fun}

(A close up)
   I also stamped on some of the ribbon....which I've also been very interested in....hardest thing was finding ribbon that would not make the ink bleed....and i found it...I'll double check the name with Nicole and let you know what it is...

Thanx for stopping by                              Until next Time
                                                                       Cheers

Maintaining Mayhem....in the Freezer.

  Brrrr!!! It is very chilly here in Orange, we are heading for a top of around 6*degrees today and tonight it is s'posed to drop to around -4 degrees. It's with the added wind chill factor that makes it feel so much colder. The fire is ticking away nicely and central heating is on just in case the fire isn't quite doing it's job.

  It's almost the middle of the school holiday's, here are the kidlets are getting a little stir crazy, the puter is really copping it. A roster is in place with hourly access slots to the net....fun! NOT. ( Hence my super early post this morning....grr!)
 The next few days should see the kids a little more entertained with 2nd cousin Billy's B'day party tomorrow, then "Cars 2".....over the weekend and hope the Sun shines so we can get them to a park or just outside for an hour or two???/

   On to SCRAPPING now I've had a grizzle about the fridge conditions here in Orange....

{Just an Awesome Army Guy}

That's what Hugo told me when I showed him these pic's, so I thought sounds like a good title to me.
These pic's crack me up!
He's sooo cute with his little dress-ups, sometimes he'll wear that Darth Vader helmet when we pick the other children up from school....funny as!

For this layout I used one of the new Darkroom Door background stamps from CRAFT QUEEN. I so love altering backgrounds using stamps and had been keeping my eyes peeled for this checkerboard type. Nicole has some other super cool designs instore now, there is a great mesh design and also a very cool postcard design....sigh! ( oh the yumminess!!)
http://www.craftqueen.com.au/index.php

The mind boggles at the endless creating that could be done with these stamps.
The gears are from scrapmatts ( which I also think look fab, esp on boy LO's)..

Exciting stufff ( i forgot to mention), Annette and I had the AWESOME pleasure of meeting the beautiful Leanne Allinson in real life.
Leanne and her family just happened to be travelling through Orange on Monday. We met at our local McDonalds and caught up for about an hour or so.
BOXX gals are just so GORGEOUS!!!
Miss Mary had to work, ( bummer ).

I do have another Layout done but haven't taken any photo's yet as i need better light.

ALMOST  FORGOT!!!
The SUPER amazing JULIE WINKS scraplifted one of MY layouts !!!
How spesh do I feel, my favourite scrapper picked one of my layouts.
Have a look....

Hope life is treating you well
and giving lots of time to create.

HAPPY SCRAPPING
and hey! make sure you leave a little love.

Until next time

Boxx Challenge ((20thJune-3rd July))by Leanne Jago.

Over at THE BOXX the f/n challenge set by the fantabulous Leanne Jago was to create a Autumn layout but with a twist....NO AUTUMN COLOURS...allowed so this is what i came up with...
[ Autumn Dreaming ]
used some Tim Holtz tissue tape...usual stitching..and gorgeous imaginarium chippie frame (YUMMO!).

A close up.

It's been so lovely here in Orange the last few days so now I'm just hoping that it continues at least for some of our school holidays. At least the kiddies wouln't be stuck inside so much.
Must admit it will be nice to have a few sleepins...and not make lunches.
Anywho...must go do a few things.
Hope it's nice in your part of the world

Please leave a little love...it's always so nice to here what you think

until next time
MWAH!
