 Super inspired by the uber talented Leeann Pearce....her layouts are just soooo amazing.

 Great for using up scraps....All of the yummy trims are from, YEP! CRAFTQUEEN.
Nicole's range is fabulous...I so love all the natural/netural colours. I also used up some leftover tinted texture paste using it with a C/W 6x6 template..which i really, really like.

Some Lost and Found pp and also some maya road tags...

Angry Birds is the word...(Darkroom Door Yummy Stamps)

O.K chickies, just made the Boxx fortnightly challenge in time....this is what I came up with using Darkroom Door mesh background stamp ( available from CRAFTQUEEN )
and be warned it's a bright one!!!! Might want to put your sunnies ON!!!

  The title plate I made from texture paste and just made sure I put a hole either side so I could attach it either using brads, or like I have here twine. The Cloud is from TheChipChopShop and the gorgeous red mini pom-pom trim is from CRAFTQUEEN.

Monthly Boxx Challenge (using Darkroom Door stamps).

Over at The Boxx this month the sketch challenge (august), involves hearts, and as you know I'm mostly a neutrals kinda girl.....so using the checkered background stamp by Darkroom Door (available from CRAFTQUEEN), I stamped lightly around the edge, I also used the Darkroom Door- French script and also the Ornate elements collection to stamp on the satin seam binding (blue and cream), just to add a little something. I used the Crafter's workshop 6x6 numbers template which I just sponged over using a mushroom paint dabber,I also used lots of yummy trim from CRAFTQUEEN and a clock from SCRAPMATTS  My photo is taken back in 2008 and was the last pic of my children, all together, while all still living at home...Alex my eldest son moved out 6 months later.

And this is the sketch from The Boxx

So if your stuck why not try this sketch yourself?

McKenzie went to the fracture's clinic this morning, they removed the cast, xrays and they said he is healing well. He needs to wear a sling for the next 3 weeks then we head back to the clinc...fingers crossed all goes well!

{He's been such a good boy}

{ nice bruise after 1 week}

So what do you have planned for this weekend?
I hope to get a couple of layouts done and also to clean one SUPER scruffy
cocker spaniel dog, BENNY.

Hope you have a great weekend whatever you have planned and so hope the sun is shining too.

Until next time

Bam!!!

What a week!!!
Monday was fabulous then it went on a bit of a slide.....(family health wise).
Tuesday...ungodly hours of the morning master Hugo started throwing up...yep! in our bed too...amazing how fast you can move...even though you were fast asleep like a micro-second before...ewwh!!
 Tuesday was a rite-off...Hugo needed major cuddles....Wednesday he still complained about tummy aches...another quiet one....(thank god for laptops!!!)
 Thursday had to grocery shop, Hugo feeling much better. Madison had a school concert...so Roy and I went and watched her first Highschool band performance....very entertaining. Friday morning headed to education week celebrations at our younger children's school Bowen Public. Both Sidney and McKenzie both recieved awards...very proud of them...Sidney also performed in the band and dace groups.
 Friday arvo Roy and I decided it was time to replace our trampoline (which died about 6mths earlier). As Roy was heading out of town for work over the w/end, he decided to put the tramp up, I picked the kids up from school. Around an hour later Tramp was ready (it's one with the enclosure...Roy would never consider even owning a tramp without one ).
 So younger three jump on and start bouncing then master 15, Mason comes out ....jumps about three times, Kenzie falls over and BAM! One hurt left arm....to the hospital we go!
 Had our last tramp for like 2-3 yrs without any injuries....this one 5 mins and we have a lateral condyle fracture. So fracture clinic next friday....grrr!

 On a scrappy note....I've been working on a few things for CRAFTQUEEN...Nicole has some great products and new things arriving...yummdiddliyum!!!
 Here's one layout I did for Nicole a Little while ago and a canvas I created using some of her fabulous CHARMS...which I totally adore..

{Sir Serious-a-lot}
The gorgeous ribbon is called Knights and Dragons

A close up

{Create}
One w/end Annette, Mary & I did a canvas each instead of our usual scrapping
it was heaps of fun...now I'm using this method alot on my layouts...awesome stuff!
 Our Scrap That Song challenge blog is up and running with * 3 songs/lyrics to choose from the mind boggles at what one could create...think I might have to have a go at some of the other songs too....fab choices and a generous RAK is up for grabs this month which includes some BEAUTIFUL RIBBONS from ...yep! you guessed right....CRAFTQUEEN....thank you so very much Nicole....

OK sweet scrappy friends must go do a few chores to make tomorrow morning run a little smoother

Cheers and I hope you all have a positively awesome, creative week
PLEASE leave a little kindness, so I know you have stopped bye.

August Challenge for 'Scrap that Song'

Ello, fellow scrappers !!!

Well the monthy challenge is up with awesome songs/lyrics to choose from over at http://www.scrapthatsong.blogspot.com/
These great songs chosen by our Creative Team member, talented Julene:

Greatest Love Of All
( Whitney Houston)

'My Heart Will Go ON
(Celine Dion)

&
Good Riddance
Time of Your Life
(Green Day)

Lyrics are posted along with a clip of each song and a little note of a little something else to put on your layout on the Scrap that Song blog so head over and check it out for yourself. This month a gorgeous RAK is up for grabs, with some SUPER STUNNING RIBBONS from CRAFTQUEEN up for grabs. A pic will be posted in the next few days of all the goodies.....(lucky girls!!!)

Now my choice for this months challenge was

 'The Greatest Love Of All'

Of course it would be....thanks Miss Annette! With lyrics relating to children how could I not do this song?
I used the second line of the song

'Teach them well and let them lead the way'

It so suited a pic I took of Rhys giving a good-bye cuddle to our yougest three..(gosh! makes me feel a tad emotional.)
Rhys is just so good with his brothers/sisters, he makes a point of interacting with each of them on an individual basis. I always have said to my children (esp the older ones,) think about how you treat your younger siblings because they will remember & it will impact your relationships as you get older.
(sorry to bore you with my teachings, lol)

{close up of my homemade flourish}
paper flowers, leaf ribbon metal disc and trim from
CRAFTQUEEN
{almost everything except the 12x12 paper is from craftqueen}.

Bek over at Scrap that Song has been a little ill with the flu,poor thing!
So more inspiration will be posted in the next few days her health improves. So keep popping in and please have a go at the most awesome challenge.

Thanks for stopping
and please leave a bit of lovin'
Hope I've inspired you!

Deadline Missed :o((

So I started off doing the Once Upon a Sketch challenge late Saturday...but it just wasn't coming together. Sunday I popped into my scrap room now and then and worked on the layout and it was slowly working for me, but wasn't completely happy needed a little something more...needed to think about it a bit more ....so deadline passed...sigh!
 Yesterday, (Monday) it came together...

{Gosling Creek}

{I decided not to worry about the quote needed in the sketch criteria.}

I loved the relaxed nature of these photo of Hugo and McKenzie sitting eating a picnic lunch.

I stamped the background (Basic Grey) pp, then mixed some brown paint into some texture paste..grabbed a stencil and whacked it on to the pp then let it dry.
Stamped balloons onto some cardboard packaging, cut them out, inked the edges of nearly everything...just love balloons atm.
Next layed Tina Holtz tt down, mounted the 2 pic's and placed on layout....added twine, extra number stickers...the cloud.....bit of stitching..
done.

Thanks for stopping bye I'll be back soon
