Slack blogging attack....

Hello...hello scrappy friends,

So sorry I've been just a little slack on the blog front.

I have been scrapping and creating but some of it has been secret squirrel stuff....shhhhh!
I've also been trying to get back into going to the gym and getting the house sorted...(cough!)

 Firstly here is my CT layout for Craftqueen for the month of May...(May can you believe it!!!! Almost half way through the year, again..... the good think about that is it's almost Brisbane Expo time again...yippeeeee!!!!!

Criteria.....the word TODAY...kraft...and distressing
my take...

 I've used a real mix of elements for this layout....stamping, stitching, misting. Also used some great washi tape Black & White- Chevron, from Craftqueen, Nicole has some fabulous designs available in store. The Prima lace trim is also becoming a fav of mine.
 The alpha's I've used are from Twiddleybitz and the zigzag element is from their awesome chicken mesh...which I've sort of chopped a bit to fit my layout.
 The oval label holder thingy is from kaiserkraft and the gorgeous butterfly is cut from some Tim Holtz ink resist kraft paper.

Have I told you how much I LOVE my Dad.... He served for 18 months in Vietnam....I cannot even imagine the things he has seen? He very rarely talks about that time of his life...
 He came home injured and still has shapnel in his shoulder...he also had some in his knee until he had a knee replacement a few years back...
 I am so very proud of my father, he is the greatest man ever.....xxxx

 Okay....back to Brissie talk....
 I'm pretty excited...( the only not-so-good thing about Brissie is that Miss Mary isn't going with us...boo....sob!)
 I s'pose Mary will be with us in other ways...hehehehehe!!!!!! ( Miss Annette & I have plans....)

 Very excited to be helping in a CRAFTQUEEN classroom...Yay!!!!!
and tad excited that TIM HOLTZ is going to be there as well,.... SUPER YAY!!!!

  Shall also be catching up with some of my old buddies from...like 20 years ago....darn!! now that makes me feel a bit old..
 Paulette...Darren and Troy, so can't wait....

  Okay Beautiful People time for this little black duck to head to bed and catch some zzzzz's
Off to the hairdressers in the morning...hope she can help...'cause DANG! I sure need it????

  So don't forget if you get the chance, please play along with us over at CRAFTQUEEN, just create your card or layout and then email it to

A Twiddley month of May

Morning all....

It's a cool but sunny autumn day here in Orange, NSW.
 The colours are truly amazing as you drive around...if you get the chance, one day (in Autumn), you should come for a visit!!!!

 As I'm a guest designer for Twiddleybitz for the months of April/May, I've been having lots of fun using their very awesome products and in conjunction with some other very awesome products from Craftqueen, I've really been getting the creative juices flowing, have a look.....

{In Their Own Little Heaven}

 features my niece Kylie with her 1 day old daughter, Mia. Thanks to her friend Sinead for the fabulous photo and thThis layout e title, I've used is the comment Sinead had posted under the pic....I just so feel in love with this photo as it so captures the amazement and emotion you feel when you have your first child.......

{Close Up}

 I've used Twiddleybitz - lge alpha's, some gorgeous leaves that come in a very generous size pack, and I also cut a butterfly off their Ornate Butterfly Corner.
 I've also used various trims and flowers, (the small flowers I've picked up from somewhere???? and I've spritzed them with glimmermist). Last week I also picked up a great new C/W template from Craftqueen, it's called mini spring fling. I've also added some liquid pearls here and there, done some inking and of course a tad of machine stitching.....

{ Even closer)

The pp is BoBunny and Kaisercraft.....a lovely combo indeed!!!!
 With the Twiddley leaves I painted them in a fawn colour and once dry I used some pink chalkboard mist.....if you look closely you can just see the pink tinge.

 Hope you like what I've done and just maybe inspired you a little....

Please let me know if you liked????

Okay better be off as I have a wedding to go to......don't you just love weddings?

I do!!!!

 Thanks for popping in and wishing you all a creative happy weekend....

MWAH!!!!!

****May 1st Sketch at Stuck?!****

So it's May again.....(darn! almost another year older....it goes so quick!!!!)

New month, means new Sketch is up over at
      Stuck?!Sketches

So here is my take on this awesome Sketch

{Daddy is Just so Comfy}
photo's taken on Easter Sunday

                                                                { a sweet close up }
 I used a gorgeous Prima mask , papercord and yep! my favourite trim from Craftqueen and some glimmermist, and also used some tea-dyed canvas paper for the mat/banner behind pic's and also punched some butterflies and handcut the flowers...and that spotty pp is BoBunny. Alpha's are Graphic45....and of course machine stitching..(it's a must)

 Here's the Sketch

Isn't it gorgeous!!!!
Why not put this on your TO-DO- Scrapping list for the month of MAY????

Look forward to seeing your wonderful creations.

Cheers Kim x
